The French couple Josianne and Roques fell in love with Cape Maclear years ago and made it their dream to build a lodge and retire in this tranquil Malawian fishing village. Their dream has come true and Cape Mac Lodge is now open to guests. The lodge is situated in Chembe Village where guests have a chance to interact with the local people and their culture.

The lodge consists of 12 rooms (10 double & 2 family rooms) offering comfortable accommodation all with en suite facilities. All rooms are decorated simply with local products but with impeccable taste offering mosquito nets and fans. The Lodge also offers a swimming pool that is only for the use of resident guests. Cape Mac Lodge also has "Froggies" Restaurant where all meals are personally cooked or supervised by your hostess, Josianne.

You can also take time out to enjoy a drink in their cosy bar while watching the sun set. Water sports, Boat Island trips and scuba diving can also be arranged through the lodge.
