The Lodge has 4 bedrooms with bathrooms on suite, it sleeps 10 people. The house is equipped with all the basic needs and comes with all bed linen blankets, pillows, towels and mozy nets.
The house does have a pool and there are some really great spots to swim on the Estate. Blue Lagoon, Mbiya pools, Hydro on the Minunu path. Please always check if Blue Lagoon is booked because if it is you are not permitted to use it.
We have just reinstated the padder tennis court so be sure to bring with you your tennis balls and bats. We are trying at the moment to get bats that stay at the lodge permanently but for the moment bring your own to prevent disappointment.
Edwin runs the house and his assistant is Philipo.They are all really good people and will take care of all your needs. If you are self catering they will do all your cooking.
If you are going the self catering route then you will be required to bring all your own groceries including soap and toilet paper etc.
You take the Thyolo road to Mulanje; from the Police Station in the Boma to our turn off on the main rd it is approx 15klm. You will see a sign on the left Lujeri Tea Estate 7.2 klm. It is a dirt road, take this and follow it until you reach the security boom on the Estate. Once through you go approx. 200mts. And you will see a sign on the right Lujeri Lodge; you cannot miss the house you will see it before the sign.
If you wish to climb the mountain you can arrange to get porters through us. Lujeri has 2 paths which take you up Minunu and Madzeka

These can be arranged for you as long as you let us know when you make your booking.
Tea is available for sale by arrangement. @ K300. For 1 Kg. and K150 for 500grms.
For your information :
There is a golf course at Mulanje sports club, a swimming pool, squash court and you could if you felt like the change have lunch there or dinner. You would have to pay a day membership and pay for your sports.
In the town of Chitakali there is the Pizza Basilica which has opened up, it does a fantastic Pizza and other limited items. It also has a showroom ; for cane, wood and wrought iron furniture which is made by Max Conforzi right here in Mulanje. Max also owns the restaurant, try it you won't be disappointed
